In a media report today, it has been said that China has started building its third aircraft carrier with a high-tech launch system, it is finishing a new type of destroyer with modern weapons deployed in the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea.
This will be the third aircraft carrier after one is building at a Shanghai shipyard last year. The report has been posted by Hong-Kong-based South China Morning Post. The first aircraft carrier which is a refitted vessel of the hull of a former Soviet ship was launched by China in 2014.
The first indigenously-built aircraft carrier which is equipped was launched by China last year. The time it was launched, then oy the announcement had been made to build to a third one.
While the second one which is under manufacturing process is expected to launch this year. On the third aircraft, the Shanghai shipyard is already working and it is expected to take almost two years to be completely made.
As per the PLA official, “Building the new carrier will be more complicated and challenging than the other two ships.”
China has already built such kind of aircraft that can be operated from the deck of the carrier and is currently providing training to its pilots. China is trying to give priority to its Navy because it attempts to expand its impact globally.
As China is all planning to take in service four aircraft carrier battle groups by 2030. Also as per the report of South China Morning Post, it is too early to say when the third aircraft carrier would be launched by China.
On the other hand, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency, China has been developing a new type of destroyer which will be equipped worth anti-missile, anti-ship, modern defence and anti-submarine weapons.
The news agency also reported, the new destroyer will be used by China soon and it might be seen in the future mission includes the South China Sea and Indian Ocean’s assignments.
The official organ of the Chinese military told to PLA daily, the designers after considering opinions from Army soldiers and officers changed their original plan for helicopters, now they are increasing a height of the cabins for improving efficiency. For this, a new technique of welding has been explored by China and used in building the outer hull with a new type of material.
In order to provide a more comfortable atmosphere for the soldiers on the ship, workers used a new material that will restrict noise, shock and increase ventilation equipment. For taking it in use for the comfortable of soldiers on the ship, the vessel will have to undergo planned testing which includes berthing, equipment operation, and sailing.
