Chinese Might Be Stealing all our WhatsApp data, Indian Army Warns!


Commonly, We use Whatsapp and do all sort of personal, confidential and business chat through it. Although no website or app is prone to attacks or hacking efforts, but for only very few Indian army has cautioned to all the Indians.

Indian army released a video and urged people to be careful using WhatsApp as the Chinese hackers are stealing information. The video asked the people to use the messaging application safely. Just four months back, Indian army warned about many different applications including UC browser, Baidu and other apps. Indian army also warned the soldiers living near to the line of actual control to not some applications as they were unsafe.

“The Chinese use all kinds of platforms to penetrate your digital world. WhatsApp groups are a new way of hacking into your system. Chinese numbers starting with +86 barge into your groups and start extracting all the data,” a video tweeted by the ADGPI said.

The army has asked everyone to be vigilant and has informed that if they have seen anyone with +86 joined the group. They have asked all the group owners to keep doing an audit after every few months.

“In case you change the SIM, destroy it completely,” the video said. The video also added that information mined from such groups was being leaked to Chinese hackers.
