Exposition Of Robotics and Unmanned Systems Is Announced By DRDO For Young Engineers

DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization) is an agency of the Republic of India established in 1958 and runs under Ministry of Defence, Government of India. DRDO as a part of their diamond jubilee celebration announced DRDO Robotics and Unmanned System Exposition (DRUSE) recently. The announcement of Robotics and Unmanned System Exposition has been made by Research and Development Establishment (Engineers) which is known as R&DE(E) Pune under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The event was organized to offer opportunities to the aspiring engineers. It was planned with different theme based technological challenges to make possible the participation of engineers through participating in different categories of engineering talent. The themes for engineers to be prepared on included mountain climbing robot, mobility in snow-bound areas, casualty evacuation system, surveillance of a naval and warship, self-concealing unmanned ground vehicle i.e., UGV, system for underwater survey, robotic assistive device for disabled persons and like wise. The invitation for proposals are already begin from October 14 and the last date for submitting the proposals is December 15.

The best proposal will be awarded and give recognition in the event. The competition isn’t only for awarding the best proposal but also for providing opportunities to engineers who are seeking to show their talent on national platform and also will be given chance to work with DRDO organization with their projects.

Details Of Competition:

R&DE(E) under DRDO will first conduct competitions at zonal level including six zonal areas Jodhpur, Bengaluru, Pune, Tezpur, Kolkata, and Capital city New Delhi between March 24 and April 15, 2018 inviting engineers across the country for their wide participation to win the opportunity working with DRDO in future.

Next Level Of The Competition:

The engineers who participate and then qualified in the first level i.e., zonal level will upgrade to the completion of next level. The next level will be National level where qualified participants of each zonal level will fight to win. The national level will be organized at DRDO headquarters in New Delhi by R&DE (E), Pune.

Objective Of Exposition By R&DE (E):

R&DE (E), Pune is a DRDO laboratory working for the development of state-of-the-art defence systems. Exposition DRUSE aims to launch the young minds of the engineering student community across the country with their innovative and disruptive solutions which are provided for some challenging operational requirements of the Indian Armed Forces. It has been designed to offer an open platform in which young engineers can showcase their talent in the areas of robotics for conceptualization, design and development of unmanned systems for defensive applications.
