How Garud Commandos, Army, J&K Police Gave a Big Thrashing to LeT

Lahkar-e-Taiba faced one of the major setbacks when a recent joint operation at Chanderger managed to finish its entire hold of leadership in north Kashmir in single act. The operation was jointly executed by Garud Special Forces, Army, and Jammu and Kashmir with the help of intelligence given by Jammu and Kashmir Police that proved to be beneficial for the full proof plan.

The operation turned out to be a hit and greatly successful as a total of six militants were killed by the forces but have also caused life of one Garud commando, Coreporal JP Nirala martyred. The 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Zaki-ur-Rahman Lakhvi’s nephew Owaid was also one of the militants who were killed at the hands of the team.

A Source informed, “The Garuds and police were working with extra zeal as the Air Force Special Forces wanted to get justice for their buddies Sergeant Milind and Corporal Neelesh Nain who were martyred in the operations.”

According to the security sources in Hajin, police and troops are leaving no stone unturned to track those three-four terrorists who escaped during the joint operation performed on October 11 by Garud Commandos and 13 Rashtriya Rifles, while two terrorists were killed.

It all started with a tip-off. In Hajin, a local police officer was hinted about one of the terrorist in Chanderger who used to have frequent visits to a house. The officer then started to track the militant with the help and backup by the technical cell of state police.

With regular follow ups and tracking the functions of the terrorist for almost a month, the DSP (operations) gathered enough information and understood that he spent entire day inside the house only to risk leaving after dark.

It was this information and input that led to the security forces and commanding officer of the Army’s 13 Rashtriya Rifles and Garud Special forces to cordon the target house in broad daylight, finishing the mission.

We pay tribute to the brave heart Garud Commando JP Nirala who sacrificed his life for us.
