Indian Army is Ready to Face any Situation in Doklam: Eastern Command


While it was decided that China and India are moving back to their positions before Doklam dispute. It seems like China is not playing by the rules and again started doing an exercise in the disputed territory of Doklam.

Indian army in a reply today said that it is ready for any Chinese nuisance in the region. The army is totally geared for any situation and any mischief will be handled properly, said General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt. Gen Abhay Krishna of the Eastern Command.

Chinese wanted to build the road in the area claimed by Bhutan, which lead to a dangerous situation for India, as it could cut the access to its north-eastern states. The Doklam ended in September and both the countries agreed to withdraw their troops.

He was asked by recent Chinese development in Dokalam, he stated that he would not name anyone officially and added that Indian army is in high spirits and ready to take on any mischief.

“We are totally prepared, geared up; let anybody do any mischief and he will get it back nice and proper,” he told the reporters.

On the wreath laying ceremony on Vijay Diwas, Lt. Gen Krishna spoke to reporters at Fort William. He was asked if the China troops are stationed few hundreds metres away from Doklam. He said that a lot has been said in the reports and he has nothing more to add in it.

“The Indian Army is always in very high spirits, we are always ready to take on any mischief by anybody. I am not going to name anybody specifically.

“Territorial integrity is ingrained in our blood and for that we will go to any extent to ensure the territorial integrity,” he said as reported by Money Control.

He also said that Indian army is ready for any eventuality that might come their way.
