Indian Army surrounded Zakir Musa But Stonepelters helped him escape

Zakir Musa was named the commander of Al-Qaeda a few days back when he quit from Hijbul Mujaheddin. The security forces were alert to nab him whenever possible. There was an intelligence input on Zakir Musa being seen at his native house in Noorpura in his native village of Tral.

As soon as the security forces trapped him in his house with his aide, the stonepelters starting pelting stones and instant clashes erupted. The stonepelters were dealt with tear gas and the forces continued with their work. When the security was covering the house, there was no firing from the house. However, Zakir Musa with his aide managed to escape while the clashes were going. The stonepelters went quiet after few hours without any aggression.

Few police sources told the Times of India that they suspected more terrorists apart from Zakir Musa and that 42RR, 130 CRPF, and SOG Awantipora launched searches in the nearby villages too.

Zakir Musa would been caught today but the stonepelters came in between to distract the forces and he managed to flee in the mid.

The villages of Peer Mohalla, Shah Mohalla, Daggarpora and Noorpora have been cordoned off and searches are going separately in all of them. Zakir Musa is one of the last left militants in the area and he will be caught sooner or later.
