Blind Cricket World Cup has been lifted by defending champions India. India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan and lift their second title. Ajay Reddy’s team achieved the target of 309 set ahead by Pakistani team. They with their batting ensured not to give any chance to Pakistan to snatch their title of World champion.
The top scorer in the match was India’s Sunil Ramesh who scored 93 runs. Also, the skipper added 63 runs to chase the target of 309 runs set by Pakistan. Although India shuttered to the end, they did not panic. After winning the World Cup, players were very happy. The team has won the World Cup for the second consecutive time.
The captain of the team Reddy while speaking to media after the win said, “First of all we are really happy we won this World Cup. We have done a lot of hard work for getting here. My team did a great job.”
The most appreciating gesture has they dedicated the World Cup win to the India Army, “This win we dedicate for the Indian Army because they are working hard to ensure that the country’s common people remain safe. Some of them lose their lives also while doing that so we have decided that this win is dedicated to the Indian army.”
The captain of the team Reddy also added that behind their win there was the strategy as they already discussed in the team meeting to elect bowling if they win the toss. As per the leader of men in blue they had the ideal start in the game and things went according to their plans. He thanked his team also.
“All the people who have prayed for our win, we thank them because since the beginning the game has gone our way,” Reddy added.
Reddy was very confident about his win and to secure the victory. Talking to media, he explained his game plan, “We had won the toss and we did decide to bowl first. We also managed to restrict them to a chasable total. We lost the openers quickly but Sunil played well. The team’s batting line-up is very strong. I don’t lose hope until the 11th man is out.”
Not only they made the country proud by winning the World Cup once again but also they made proud India by dedicating the win to the Indian Army.
