Navy Seal Shares His Secret Of How To Getting Up At 4:30 A.M. With No Excuses

“Put Execution Of Plan Over Thinking Of Plan”

If someone in today’s time will say he/she wake up at 4:30 A.M. then surely none of us are going to believe. As, it is just opposite we do, sleeping at 4:30 A.M. and waking up at 1:00 P.M. is the daily routine that we are following without knowing its side effect.

Although, we only wish we were the type of people who woke up early because we knew early bird is better than night owl and especially when we are working because for better productivity we should get up early and sleep early.

To answer this question recently, expert and former Navy SEALs commanders and “Extreme Ownership” authors Jocko Willink and Leif Babin why waking up at 4:30 a.m. is good for us.

Jocko Willink, a retired navy SEAL officer is a highly disciplined and surely knows a thing when and how to execute things over thinking. And, since after his retirement he has written books and even opened his own consulting firm.

Willink, is a man who gets up early hours rather sleeping and in his most recent book, Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual he explains how does he do it:

As during the latest Facebook Live Question and Answer In Business Insider’s New York Office, Willink tells the secret, “Just on a practical side, if you wake up early in the morning – like at 4:30 in the morning – you’re going to have some free time to yourself to make things happen, to take care of things that are important to you.”

He further added, “If you try and work out at 4:30 in the afternoon, how many people are going to chip away at that time? Your boss, your job, your work, your family, your other obligations that you might have. At 4:30 in the morning, all those people are asleep, so you can do whatever you want.”

The other benefit is “straight-up self-discipline,” he said.

Meanwhile, the former commander added, “It’s not fun to get out of bed early in the morning. When the alarm goes off, it doesn’t sing you a song, it hits you in the head with a baseball bat. So how do you respond to that? Do you crawl underneath your covers and hide? Or do you get up, get aggressive, and attack the day?”

Not only this, he has a very intense workout space in his house where he getting himself fit but he also said that  it doesn’t matter if you put up heavy iron, go for a run, or even go surfing.

Howeverm Leif Babin adding with Willink said, “he and Willink are on the road a lot for Echelon Front, and sometimes the hotel gym isn’t up their usual standards for their morning workout, or there isn’t even a gym. That’s fine.”

“You don’t need any of that stuff,” Babin said. “You can just crank out a workout in your room. Do burpees until you puke in the trash can.”

Quote of Willink

“It’s really hard to guarantee things in life. I guarantee if you get up in the morning and you work out and you work hard, you will have a better day – 100% guaranteed.” he added.
