We celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2015 with Indian Army celebrating the Kargil Vijay Diwas. Although, it was a victory, but victory didn’t come sweet, there were brave soldiers who laid their lives for us. In the remembrance of them, we bring the rare photos of Kargil War.

The war happened from May 1999 to July 1999. 527 Indian army soldiers laid their lives to protect our motherland.

During the war, 10 Indian soldiers were honoured with gallantary awards, 4 of them were Param Veer Chakra, 2 Mahaveer Chakra and 3 Veer Chakra, 1 Ashok Chakra and Sena Medal.
