Tailor’s Son Tops Arts Stream of NDA’s Course, Set to Join Armed Forces in a Year

A very brilliant student Mittal Kiran Prajapati, who is a son of a Tailor and belongs to Malad has topped the Arts stream of NDA’s three year course. He will now become an officer after one year of further training and his childhood dream of being an army officer will be achieved.

Mittal secured 91% in class XIIth commerce. He joined NCC(National Cadet Corps) in class VIII and was inspired to join the army with his experience there. He cleared his SSB at the first attempt and now he is about to go through convocation ceremony at NDA.

Mittal’s father Kiran who runs a tailoring shop in Malad, now a proud man spoke to Times of India and said that this was a great occasion for the family. He further said that no one in his family has served in the armed forces and that Mittal has taken all his decisions by himself and they just supported him.

G Naveen Kumar Reddy, who is the son of Army Subedar G T Reddy, currently posted at Goa topped the science stream. Naveen was the student of Sainik School at Korukunda in Andhra Pradesh. Naveen feels that it was his father that made him disciplined and always supported him. “He instilled in me the values and ethos of Indian army, which helped to pursue my dream.”

We wish very best of luck to everyone who is passing out in the convocation and will join armed forces in one year.
